How we use your photos

By posting your photo, you agree to allow Portwest and other companies in our group to use, free of charge, your photograph, name, social media handle, likeness and other content you have tagged with @portwestireland or any hashtags that relate to these or our other brands, for any marketing, advertising and promotional purposes. This includes use on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, Pinterest and our brand websites.

You agree that the photo is your own work and that we may use, reproduce, distribute, alter and/ or edit your content in any manner we see fit.

We can only see and repost your pictures if your social media account is public. If your images are published, your social media handle and your profile photo will be shown on our page, and visitors will be able to view the content you sent to us and your account profile.

We will process any personal data that you share with us in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to use, remove or refuse your post on our page at any time. We may also block your posts if we have received any complaints against them. If you would like us to remove a photo from our page, please send us a direct message to any of our social media accounts.


Content rules
You agree that by submitting the photographs and sharing them with the public, we are not liable for any content submitted by you or any other user. You must be over 18 years old, and all photos and images submitted must be your original work. You are responsible for ensuring that you have permission to use all copyrighted material before submitting it to us.

In selecting content for our channels, we look for photos that are engaging, of high quality and of interest to our audiences. As part of the moderation process, we will consider whether your photo meets the Content Standards set out below. We may not accept your submission even if it meets these standards. We choose content for our channels at our absolute discretion.

To meet the Content Standards, your photo should :

• Customer must use hashtag and tag @portwestireland to be entered
• Closing date for entries will be shown on the relevant post of the competition. After this date then no further entries to the competition will be permitted. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
• Competitions are open to residents of Ireland only
• There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter competitions. By entering our competitions, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
• Closing date for entries will be shown on the relevant post of the competition. After this date then no further entries to the competition will be permitted. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
• Competition prizes are for the amount stated, or the products in question, and cannot be exchanged for a cash alternative.
• Photos are selected by the Marketing Team.

To meet the Content Standards, your photo and any additional content in the post must not :

• Infringe any other person’s copyright or other intellectual property rights
• Be obscene
• Defame, threaten or harass any person
• Contain advertising or links to other sites
• Promote any unlawful, violent or dangerous activity
• Promote discrimination on the grounds of race, gender, nationality, religion, sexual orientation or age
• Contain confidential information (yours or another person's)
• Contain another person’s personal data
• Contain material that could harm, worry or embarrass another person
• Contain inaccurate information about the product
• Break the rules of the social media platform
